Payment & Refund Policy

Version 1.1Effective 2026-09-15Last updated 2026-09-15

How wallet funding, ticket payments, platform fees, refunds, and chargebacks actually work on OnCampusDaily.

1. OnCampusDaily's role

OnCampusDaily is not a bank, deposit-taking institution, licensed financial institution, escrow provider, or licensed payment service provider. Where a third-party payment processor is used to move real money (currently, Paysnug, for wallet funding via bank transfer to a dedicated virtual account), that processor's own terms and regulatory status govern the actual movement of funds between your bank and the Platform; OnCampusDaily's role is to record the resulting transaction accurately and reliably in your account.

2. The wallet

Your OnCampusDaily wallet is an internal, server-authoritative ledger of credits and debits associated with your account — every entry (a top-up, a ticket purchase, an organizer payout) is a row in that ledger, and your balance is always computed from the ledger, never stored or editable as a separate number a client could manipulate. The wallet is used to fund paid ticket purchases and to receive an organizer's net proceeds from ticket sales.

LEGAL COUNSEL REVIEW REQUIRED: whether this wallet structure — real-money funding via a bank-transfer virtual account, held as an internal balance and spent within the Platform — creates obligations under Nigerian payment-services or e-money regulation has not been independently confirmed and should be reviewed by qualified counsel, in consultation with the payment processor's own licensing position, before this policy is relied upon as final. The wallet does not pay interest, is not deposit insurance-protected, and is not represented as a bank account.

3. Funding your wallet

You fund your wallet by requesting a top-up amount and transferring the exact fee-inclusive amount shown to a dedicated virtual bank account generated for that request. The payment processor charges a fee, which is disclosed as part of the amount you are asked to transfer; your wallet is credited the requested (pre-fee) amount once the transfer is confirmed. If a transfer does not match the requested amount or fails to arrive, it will not be credited automatically — contact support with your bank's transaction reference.

4. Ticket purchases and platform fees

A paid event ticket is purchased by debiting your wallet balance for the ticket's listed price. OnCampusDaily currently charges a launch-pricing platform fee of 1% on paid ticket sales, deducted from the amount credited to the organizer, not added on top of the price you pay as a buyer — you pay exactly the listed ticket price. See the Ticketing Terms for the full purchase, entry, and cancellation process, and the Event Organizer Agreement for organizer payout mechanics.

5. Refunds

Ticket sales are final and non-refundable except where the event is cancelled by its organizer, in which case affected ticket holders are refunded to their wallet, or where OnCampusDaily determines a refund is required to comply with applicable consumer-protection law or to correct a platform error. A Specialized Agreement's own refund terms (for example, the Ticketing Terms' postponement provisions) apply in addition to this section for that activity. Programs are not refundable through OnCampusDaily because OnCampusDaily never processes Program payment in the first place — see the Programs & External Listings Terms.

6. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Because wallet funding happens via a direct bank transfer to a dedicated virtual account rather than a card payment, a traditional card chargeback does not apply to a wallet top-up. If you believe a wallet transaction is incorrect, unauthorized, or fraudulent, contact support immediately with your bank's transaction reference; we will investigate using the transaction and ledger records described in section 8.

7. Duplicate payments and reconciliation

If you are charged twice for the same intended transfer, or a transfer is not reflected in your wallet within a reasonable time after your bank confirms it left your account, contact support with the transaction reference so it can be reconciled against our records and the payment processor's records.

8. Transaction records

Every wallet credit, debit, ticket purchase, and organizer payout is recorded as an individually auditable ledger entry with a reason, timestamp, and (where applicable) a link to the underlying order or top-up. These records are retained as described in the Privacy & Data Protection Policy's retention section and are available to you for your own transactions through your wallet history.

9. Currency and taxes

All amounts on the Platform are in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from your use of the Platform, including as a seller, service provider, or event organizer — see the relevant Specialized Agreement. LEGAL COUNSEL REVIEW REQUIRED: whether OnCampusDaily has a withholding, reporting, or other tax-related obligation with respect to organizer payouts or platform fees under Nigerian tax law has not been independently confirmed.

10. Contact

Payment and refund questions: use the Contact Support feature (payment problem / refund request categories) for the fastest response, or email [LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL — set in packages/constants/src/legal/contacts.ts before publishing] for a general question about this policy.

Legal review required before reliance
