Marketplace Seller Agreement
The obligations you take on when you list goods for sale in the OnCampusDaily Marketplace.
1. Who this applies to
This agreement applies to any user who lists physical goods for sale in the OnCampusDaily Marketplace ("Seller", "you"). It applies in addition to the Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines.
2. Eligibility and verification
You must meet the eligibility requirements in the Terms of Service. Some marketplace features may require a specific verification level (see the Verification Policy) — this confirms the stated verification procedure was completed, not that your goods or conduct have been reviewed.
3. Ownership and authority to sell
You represent that you own the goods you list, or have clear authority to sell them, and that they are not stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise unlawful to sell.
4. Accurate listings
You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing: description, photographs, condition, pricing, and availability. Photographs must genuinely represent the item offered. You must update or remove a listing promptly once the item is no longer available.
5. Prohibited, dangerous, and regulated goods
You must not list: illegal goods; stolen or counterfeit goods; goods that infringe a third party's intellectual property; dangerous or hazardous goods, except where lawfully permitted and appropriately disclosed; or any good regulated under Nigerian law that requires a license or authorization you do not hold. OnCampusDaily relies on both this agreement and active moderation (validation rules and content review) to keep prohibited listings off the Platform — this agreement does not, by itself, guarantee that no prohibited listing will ever appear, and you must report one you encounter.
6. Buyer communication, delivery, and off-platform transactions
You are responsible for communicating with buyers, arranging delivery or collection, and completing the transaction as described in your listing. OnCampusDaily is a venue that connects buyers and sellers; it is not a party to the sale, does not take title to goods, and does not guarantee delivery, condition on arrival, or a buyer's or seller's performance. Where a transaction moves off-platform (for example, cash on collection), OnCampusDaily has no visibility into or responsibility for that portion of the transaction.
7. Fraud, refunds, returns, and complaints
You must not use a Marketplace listing to defraud a buyer. Refunds and returns are a matter between buyer and seller unless the applicable consumer-protection law requires otherwise, or a specific dispute is escalated through the Complaints & Dispute Resolution Policy. OnCampusDaily may facilitate communication and, where a seller has violated this agreement or the Community Guidelines, take moderation action, but is not a guarantor of any specific transaction's outcome.
8. Consumer rights
Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits a consumer-protection right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Nigerian law, including a buyer's right to a good matching its description.
9. Taxes and records
You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from your sales. Keep your own records of transactions for your own compliance purposes.
10. Featured and sponsored listings
If you promote a listing through the sponsored/boost system, the Advertising & Sponsored Content Agreement also applies to that promotion.
11. Suspension, removal, and indemnification
OnCampusDaily may remove a listing or restrict/suspend your account for violating this agreement, the Terms of Service, or the Community Guidelines, as described in the Content Moderation, Reporting & Takedown Policy. You agree to indemnify OnCampusDaily for claims arising from your goods, your listing's accuracy, or your conduct as a seller, as further described in the Terms of Service's indemnification section.
Legal review required before reliance
This document has been prepared as part of the OnCampusDaily platform's legal and compliance framework. It is intended to establish the platform's operational and contractual structure but must be reviewed, adapted, and approved by appropriately qualified Nigerian legal counsel before being relied upon as final legal documentation.
Legal counsel should specifically review the operating entity, applicable Nigerian laws and regulations, data-protection obligations, consumer-protection obligations, payment and ticketing structure, tax obligations, advertising requirements, intellectual-property procedures, dispute-resolution provisions, age requirements, liability limitations, indemnification provisions, and any sector-specific regulatory obligations.
