Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy

Version 1.0Effective 2026-09-15Last updated 2026-09-15

How to submit or respond to a copyright or trademark complaint about content on OnCampusDaily.

1. User content ownership

You retain ownership of content you create and are legally entitled to submit to OnCampusDaily. OnCampusDaily does not claim ownership of your content — see the license described in the Terms of Service, which is limited to what is necessary to operate the Platform and provide the service you requested.

2. Your representation when you upload content

By uploading content, you represent that you own it or have the necessary rights and permissions to use it on the Platform, and that it does not infringe a third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right.

3. Submitting a complaint

If you believe content on OnCampusDaily infringes your copyright or trademark, submit a "Copyright/IP Complaint" through the Contact Support feature, including: identification of the work you claim is infringed; identification of the specific content on the Platform you claim is infringing (a link or clear description); your contact information; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; and a statement that the information you provide is accurate and, under penalty of applicable law, that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

4. Review and takedown

We review submitted complaints and, where they are well-founded, remove or disable access to the reported content. We may act on a facially valid, well-supported complaint promptly, and in serious or clear-cut cases without waiting for the other party's response, consistent with the moderation approach described in the Content Moderation, Reporting & Takedown Policy.

5. Counter-notice

If your content was removed following a complaint and you believe the removal was mistaken (for example, you own the rights, or your use is permitted), you may submit a counter-notice through the same Contact Support feature, explaining why. We will review it and may restore the content if the counter-notice is well-founded, notifying the original complainant.

6. Repeat infringement

An account that is the subject of repeated, well-founded infringement complaints may be suspended or terminated, consistent with the Content Moderation, Reporting & Takedown Policy.

7. Evidence preservation

We retain records of copyright/IP complaints, the content involved, and the actions taken, for the period described in the Privacy & Data Protection Policy's retention section, to support any later dispute, appeal, or legal proceeding.

8. OnCampusDaily's own trademarks

"OnCampusDaily" and associated logos and branding are the property of the operating entity described in the Terms of Service. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use OnCampusDaily's branding except as reasonably necessary to use the Platform as intended.

9. Contact

Copyright and trademark complaints: submit through Contact Support, or email [LEGAL_CONTACT_EMAIL — set in packages/constants/src/legal/contacts.ts before publishing].
