Community Guidelines
What is and isn't allowed on OnCampusDaily — for listings, messages, posts, reviews, and every other kind of content.
1. Purpose
These guidelines apply to every part of the Platform — marketplace listings, service and business listings, events, programs, messages, community posts, reviews, and any other content. They exist alongside, not instead of, these Terms of Service and the relevant Specialized Agreement, the Content Moderation, Reporting & Takedown Policy, and the Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy.
2. Fraud, scams, and payment circumvention
Do not: run or attempt a scam; misrepresent a product, service, event, or program to obtain payment; solicit payment outside the Platform's payment flow specifically to evade ticketing fees, buyer protection, or platform controls (see the anti-evasion provisions in the Programs & External Listings Terms); or attempt to defraud another user or OnCampusDaily.
3. Harassment, threats, and abuse
Do not: harass, threaten, bully, or abuse another user; engage in hate-based abuse targeting a protected characteristic; dox another person (publish their private information without consent); or share non-consensual intimate content. Content sexualizing a minor, or any child sexual abuse material, is strictly prohibited, will be removed immediately, and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
4. Impersonation and false claims
Do not impersonate another person, business, organizer, or institution, or falsely claim an affiliation, endorsement, or verification you do not have — including falsely implying university endorsement (see the Independent Platform Notice).
5. Illegal, dangerous, or prohibited goods and services
Do not list, sell, or advertise: illegal goods or services; stolen goods; counterfeit goods; weapons or dangerous items where prohibited; or any good or service that violates applicable Nigerian law. See the Marketplace Seller Agreement and Service Provider Agreement for seller/provider-specific obligations.
6. Malicious content
Do not share malware, phishing links, or other malicious content, and do not use the Platform's messaging or listings to distribute them.
7. Spam and manipulation
Do not: post spam or repetitive unwanted content; engage in fake engagement (fake likes, follows, or views); post fake or manipulated reviews, whether positive or negative; or otherwise attempt to manipulate the Platform's discovery, ranking, or trust systems.
8. Misleading advertising and false claims
Do not post misleading advertisements, false institutional claims, or unsubstantiated claims about a product, service, event, or program. See the Advertising & Sponsored Content Agreement for advertiser-specific obligations.
9. Academic integrity
Do not use the Platform to facilitate academic fraud or examination malpractice, including selling or soliciting exam answers, assignments represented as your own original work when they are not, or access to restricted academic materials.
10. Intellectual property and defamation
Do not infringe another party's copyright or trademark — see the Intellectual Property & Copyright Policy for how to submit or respond to a complaint. Do not post defamatory content or present unverified allegations as established fact.
11. Moderation evasion
Do not attempt to evade a suspension, ban, or content removal by creating a new account, or otherwise attempt to circumvent verification or moderation controls.
12. Anonymous or pseudonymous submissions
Some report and complaint channels may allow a degree of anonymity toward the person being reported. Anonymity toward OnCampusDaily is not offered — a report or complaint is always associated with the submitting account for abuse-prevention purposes, even where the reported party is not told who reported them. Knowingly false reports made to harass another user are themselves a violation of these guidelines.
13. Enforcement
Violating these guidelines may result in content removal, warnings, restriction, suspension, or termination, as described in the Content Moderation, Reporting & Takedown Policy, and in some cases referral to law enforcement. We may act immediately where necessary to protect users, personal data, money, property, platform security, or public safety.
